SPORTS ILLUSTRATED SENIOR writer Grant Wahl announced today that he’s running to become the next president of FIFA. And he says he’s not joking.
The well-known football correspondent has even produced a campaign video on SI.com. Wahl criticises current president Sepp Blatter, saying he’s the man to “cure for FIFA’s Blatter infection.” The unpopular Blatter is running for his fourth term.
The SI writer promises to introduce goal-line technology, address the issue of gender imbalance at the top of FIFA and compel referees to explain controversial decisions.
