35-year-old man to appear in court over retail park stabbing

The injured man underwent surgery yesterday and is in stable condition.

A MAN HAS been charged over the stabbing of a 44-year-old man in Carrickmines Retail Park in south Dublin yesterday afternoon.

An altercation took place between two men outside one of the fast food restaurants in the retail park at 4.25pm and the 44-year-old sustained stab injuries. He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital by ambulance.

The second man fled the scene but in a follow-up operation in the early hours of this morning, a 35-year-old man was arrested in the Kingscourt area of Co Cavan and was brought to Blackrock Garda Station.

He will appear in the Criminal Courts of Justice at 4:30 today.

The injured man underwent surgery yesterday and gardaí said his condition today is stable.
