1. #HOUSE PRICES Residential property prices are down almost 40 per cent in Ireland, with prices in Dublin almost halved in the last four years. Apartment prices have been hit the hardest.
2. #SHOCKING A British woman has been stabbed and beheaded in the Spanish resort of Tenerife. Witnesses have described how a man carried the woman’s head through the streets before being apprehended and taken into custody.
3. #QUEEN’S VISIT More details of nationwide road closures have been revealed in advance of the Queen’s visit next week, including more specific times of closures and delays. Dublin, Kildare, Tipperary and Cork will all be affected.
4. #IMF Surprise, surprise! The IMF says the government’s lack of political courage and badly-managed financial institutions are to blame for the financial crisis. Meanwhile it seems that the IMF may be taking austerity measures a little too seriously as one of their own is pictured with holes in his shoes.
5. #MOST WANTED As the hunt continues for Nazi war criminals, Jewsish human rights organisation The Simon Wiesenthal Centre continues to focus on the twelve men on the world’s most wanted list.
