1. #GREECE: The Greek parliament has voted to pass €28bn worth of austerity measures so that the country will receive its next installment of EU-IMF bailout funds. The vote was passed in the midst of a nationwide 48-hour strike and violent clashes on the streets of Athens.

2. #EAMON GILMORE: Meanwhile, Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore remained upbeat about Ireland’s chance of securing a cut in our bailout interest rate. 3. #HEALY-RAE: Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae tried to draw a line under the controversy of phone votes which were made from a phone in Leinster House for him to win a TV reality show in 2007. He said he will pay the money for the 3,636 phone calls as a “gesture” – and still denies that he knew anything about the identity of his Dail super-fan.

4. #COURTS: Leonard Watt, a 24-year-old man from Navan, Co Meath, has appeared in Dublin District Court this afternoon. He is charged with falsely accusing music manager Louis Walsh of indecently assault.

5. #CHILD PORN: A report on online child pornography has found that concerns raised by Irish internet users on suspicious web content led to arrests in Bulgaria and the US in 2010.
