Tevez to leave Man City due to 'difficult circumstances'

The Argentine striker reportedly favours a move to either Spain or Italy but City will demand up to £50million.

ARGENTINIAN STRIKER CARLOS Tevez has once again expressed his desire to leave Man City, citing a need to be closer to his family as the main reason for his unhappiness at the club.

In a statement, Tevez said: “Living without my children in Manchester has been incredibly challenging for me. Everything I do, I do for my daughters.”

He added that he hoped people would “understand the difficult circumstances” that he has endured in recent months.

It is not the first time that the striker has signalled his intentions to leave the club.

Tevez put in a transfer request in December 2010, before later withdrawing it, but he reiterated his desire to leave while speaking on an Argentinian chat show last month.

Several clubs, including Real Madrid, have expressed an interest in Tevez. However, the striker’s wage demands, which are believed to be in the region of £200,000 a week, are likely to prove a deterrent to any potential deal.

It is believed a move to Italy or Spain may persuade his family to move to Europe.

Despite his personal problems, the striker has been fine form for City, scoring 24 goals in 44 appearances.

The player is currently playing in the Copa America with Argentina.
