That'll be £400,000 please: Landlord tells Balotelli to pay for fireworks damages

The star looks set to be severely punished for the accident he apparently caused at his rented home last month.

MAN CITY STRIKER Mario Balotelli could be hit with a hefty bill, after a firework-related accident caused significant damage to his house last month.

The Sun reports that Balotelli’s landlord wants him to pay for the damage he caused, rather than go through insurance.

At the time, a party involving Balotelli and his friends ended badly, when fireworks caused severe damages to the star’s £3million rented home.

Speaking about the damage, a source revealed:

“There’s nothing left of the designer bathroom but charred and melted remains. Thick smoke made the whole place uninhabitable. That’s what has sent the damage costs spiralling. They were lucky to escape serious injury.”

The occurrence is only the latest in a long line of troublesome incidents involving the Italian striker over the course of his football career.

Such troubles, however, have not had any noticeable affect on his performances this season, with the striker notching an impressive seven goals in ten appearances.
