Referendum round-up:

• Lisbon Treaty ‘vote no’ campaigner Declan Ganley has announced he will campaign for a ‘no’ vote in the Fiscal Compact referendum. Fine Gael’s director of elections Simon Coveney responded by saying that Ganley’s arguments against the treaty which link a ‘no’ vote to bank debts make “no sense”.
• In our poll today we’ve been asking if you are happy with the quality of the referendum campaigns so far. At the time of writing, eight out of ten respondents said ‘no’.
• Meanwhile, the ‘vote no’ campaign is apparently being supported by this wall near Bray, Co Wicklow:

• One man has died after the articulated lorry he was driving left the road and struck a ditch in Crossdoney, Co Cavan this morning. Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.
• Commemorative events were held today in Drogheda to mark National Famine Memorial Day.
• Dozens of bodies have been found on a highway in Mexico in what appear to be the latest drug gang-related killings.
• Today’s last-ditch talks among Greek political leaders in an effort to form a coalition government have ended without making any progress on the issue.
• Eamon Gilmore is warning Irish citizens to make sure they allow sufficient time for the processing of their passport applications because current demand means there is no chance of any on-the-spot service.
• Transport Minister Leo Varadkar says that driving with dimmed headlights could become mandatory by 2015.
