Cian Healy is the only member of the panel who won’t be travelling today. He’s expected to join up with his team-mates at the weekend after he receives further treatment on an eye injury.

2. #FAI CUP After last week’s Europa League heroics, Shamrock Rovers were brought back down to earth with a bang last night as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to UCD in the FAI Cup.

The draw for the quarter-finals was also made last night, and is as follows: Dundalk/Drogheda United v Bohemians; Cork City v St Pat’s Athletic; Monaghan United/Sligo Rovers v UCD/Shamrock Rovers; Sheriff YC v Limerick.

3. #ATHLETICS Ciaran O’Lionaird was the only Irish athlete in action on day four of the IAAF World Championships in Daegu. In his 1500m heat earlier this morning, the Leevale man timed his sprint finish to perfection, finishing sixth and booking an automatic place in Thursday’s semi-final.
