Who was The Stig's favourite star in a reasonably-priced car?

Ben Collins reveals some of his best Top Gear moments.

THE STIG POPPED in for a chat during the week – where he told us about his first meeting with Jeremy Clarkson in years and his favourite car.

Ben Collins, served as the man in the white suit from 2003-2010, recently teamed up with the Top Gear team for the first time in five years – to drive at some of their live shows.

“The found me sleeping rough in a car and saved me from myself,” Collins told us.

During the interview, he recalled some of his favourite moments: from doing a lap with blind man Billy Baxter to the best stars in a reasonably-priced car.

Watch Collins rate the best celebrity drivers who have appeared on the show:

As for the three (now former) hosts – Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – Collins isn’t sure who’s best behind the wheel.

I think actually, before they’re allowed to leave Top Gear, they should all have to race – get three reasonably-priced cars and then see who is the quickest.

“But I think if they raced at the same time they’d probably all crash into each other – that’s probably why they haven’t done it.”
