Earlier on Saturday, Daryl Jacob and Sceau Royal (11/1) took full advantage of a late spill from favourite Brain Power to win the Grade 1 Henry VIII Novices’ Chase.
At Aintree, Definitly Red (9/4jf) was an impressive winner of the Grade 2 Many Clouds Chase, beating Cloudy Dream by seven lengths.
Blaklion (7/4 fav) cemented his Grand National credentials with a dominant win in the Becher Chase over the National Fences, while Gas Lion Boy (9/2 fav) was every bit as assured in winning the Grand Sefton Chase by four-and-a-half lengths.
