Sakho wanted by the Saints, Milan can't afford Memphis, and all today's transfer gossip

It’s your daily transfer rumour round up.

HERE ARE THE good, the bad, and the unlikely football moves being talked about today…

In a change from the usual way the two clubs do business, Southampton want to sign a Liverpool player. Reports this morning suggest the Saints want Mamadou Sakho as a replacement for Jose Fonte. The defender has, apparently, been told he can leave the club this month.

Memphis Depay may be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford of late, but AC Milan might not be able to afford to sign the Dutch attacker on a permanent deal.  The Serie A giants instead hope to take Depay on loan.

Elsewhere, Hull have agreed a deal to sign Everton flop Oumar Niasse according to Sky Sports. The 26-year-old has started just twice in the Premier League and has yet to score since his €15.6 million move to the Toffees. Niasse will join the Tigers on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Arsenal have denied making a €63.5 million bid for Torino’s Andrea Belotti despite the Italian club’s claims they did. The 23-year-old has impressed this season with 13 goals in 16 Serie A appearances.

Alessio Romagnoli is still wanted by Antonio Conte and Chelsea but will be offered a new deal to stay at AC Milan. The highly-rated defender is needed with John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic likely to leave Stamford Bridge soon.

Finally, your ‘remember him, he’s now heading to China deal of the day’ is Ricardo Carvalho. The 38-year-old former Chelsea defender has signed a one-year deal with Shanghai SIPG.

After a few so-so performances, Evra established himself on the left side of the United defence and made 273 appearances for the club before leaving in 2014.
