JANUARY IS A great time to set goals for the upcoming year, especially when it comes to fitness.

This summer, thousands of people will participate in triathlons in every corner of the country.

Taking part is easier than you think, with many races staging special beginner friendly distances featuring shorter swims, safe bike routes and runs that finish with high fives all around.

If you’d like to become a triathlete this year, we’ve the perfect prize to give away with thanks to Triathlon Ireland.

One lucky reader will win free Triathlon Ireland 2018 membership and entry into a number of events including the ever-popular TriAthy on 2 June to give you a goal to work towards.

Not only that, but the prize includes a training plan supervised by a qualified coach as well as some free Triathlon Ireland swag including a tri-suit, t-shirt, swim hat, hoodie and running shorts to help you look the part.

And the best part? You can choose a friend to win the same prize so you can take part together.
