Twitter Wars XVIII: Piers Morgan and Michael Owen discuss United's 6-1 loss

The two longtime foes were at each other’s throats once again yesterday, following United’s 6-1 hammering against City.

PIERS MORGAN AND Michael Owen both gave their thoughts on United’s 6-1 defeat against City, with the two consequently becoming embroiled in an argument (not for the first time).

Arsenal fan and ex-newspaper editor Morgan also sent characteristically provocative tweets to Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand, chiding them for their performances in United’s loss.

Rooney and Ferdinand, though, were conspicuously silent following the loss, with only Rooney’s wife Coleen speaking up on her husband’s behalf.

Owen, meanwhile, in addition to implying that Morgan was an “idiot,” engaged in a damage limitation excercise, as he provided a series of excuses for United’s embarrassing defeat.
