DUSTIN POIRIER EARNED a third-round stoppage of former world champion Anthony Pettis at last night’s UFC Fight Night.

Pettis seemed to injure his ribs while on the mat and was forced to tap out after 2.08 of the round ending what had been an epic battle.

The win lifts Poirier’s record to 22-5.

“I’m a nasty dude, this is what I live for,” he said after the co-main event in Norfolk. “The talking, the calling people out, acting crazy, that’s not what I do. I fight and I earn it.”
