THE 2014 CHAMPIONSHIP season really kicks into gear this weekend with seven senior provincial ties down for decision.
The opening shots are fired in the Leinster football championship in Mullingar on Saturday and then in Aughrim and Longford on Sunday.
Tyrone and Down square off in the opening Ulster senior football tie in Omagh on Sunday while Roscommon and Leitrim also clash in Connacht.
There’s Leinster minor football quarter-final ties along with hurling games in Leinster, the Christy Ring Cup, the Nicky Rackard Cup and the Lory Meagher Cup this weekend.
