HERE ARE THE good, the bad, and the unlikely football moves being talked about today…

Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones could be heading for an Old Trafford exit, as United contemplate a move for Southampton’s Jose Fonte.

19-year-old Santos striker Gabriel Barbosa is being linked with a switch to Barcelona.

Joe Hart’s transfer to Everton is dependent on Ajax’s Jasper Cillessen joining Barcelona as well as Man City signing Claudio Bravo.

Arsenal have stepped up their interest in £50 million (€58m)-rated Shkodran Mustafi, as their defensive crisis deepens.

21-year-old Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez has been the subject of persistent interest from Tottenham.

Serie A side Fiorentina are hoping to sign West Ham’s Pedro Obiang.

Both Hull and West Brom are keen on out-of-favour Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez.

Retro Deal of the Day: Matías Vuoso to Man City

Interestingly, at the time (2002), Vuoso became Man City’s second most expensive signing ever as he joined from Independiente for £3.5m (€4m). Oddly though, he didn’t play a single minute of Premier League action, having starred alongside Diego Forlan at the Argentine club, and left Manchester just a year after his move there.

Despite the City debacle, striker Vuoso has had a relatively successful career elsewhere and at 34, currently plays for Liga MX club Cruz Azul, and has scored six goals in 15 caps at international level for Mexico.
