WAYNE BARNES DOESN’T have many fans on this island but it appears he’s not hugely popular in Georgia either.
With Clermont taking on Ospreys this evening, flanker Viktor Kolelishvili became frustrated by the English referee’s positioning and shoved him out of the way:
The whistleblower accepted he was badly positioned but still awarded a penalty to the Ospreys before asking Kolelishvili to be a bit more diplomatic the next time:
If I’m in your way, please just just ask me to move.”
However, just a few minutes later, the 26-year old found himself in even more trouble when he was adjudged to have to have put his arm on the neck of Alun Wyn Jones.

The Opsreys man pleaded with Barnes not to give his opponent a yellow card but the English referee had seen enough and sent Kolelishvili to the bin.
The visitors held a 13-6 lead at half-time thanks to Wesley Fofana’s early try and two Morgan Parra penalties, Dan Biggar replying with two place kicks of his own for the Welsh outfit.
However, the French side failed to score in the second half and, despite Biggar limping off, his replacement Sam Davies got the job done, slotting home four penalties of his own along with a drop goal to secure a 21-13 victory for the Ospreys.
The Welsh side are now top of Pool 2 with 16 points ahead of Exeter’s trip to Bordeaux tomorrow.
