WARREN GATLAND’S LIONS do battle with Australia this morning and they do so without axed talisman Brian O’Driscoll.

The repercussions of Gatland’s decision to go with his Welsh boys rather than players such as O’Driscoll and Jamie Heaslip [Ireland], Stuart Hogg [Scotland] and the Youngs brothers [England] will be seismic if the Aussies win.

The last thing the Kiwi coach needs, so, is a torrent of voicemail abuse.
