You may have heard that there was quite an important game on last night.
Spanish giants Barcelona met Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, with Josep Guardiola’s men eventually emerging as 3-1 winners.
Real took the lead, with Karim Benzema scoring, following an atrocious error from Barca goalkeeper Victor Valdes.
However, the visitors soon restored parity, with Alexis Sanchez finishing sublimely after being set up by a mesmerising Lionel Messi run.
In the second half, Barca added to their tally, as Real were left to rue two golden opportunities missed by Cristiano Ronaldo. Xavi’s shot took a wicked deflection off Marcelo and crept past Iker Casillas in the Real goal, while a Cesc Fabregas header completed a flowing Barcelona counter-attack to seal the victory.
