Calendar Girls (RTÉ 1, 9.30pm)

One to watch with your mammy. Based on a true story, this film follows the lives of members of the Women’s Institute who are inspired to raise money for a local hospital when a member’s husband dies of leukaemia. The fundraising idea? A nude calendar, that ends up causing quite a stir.

Saturday Night at the Palladium (UTV Ireland, 8pm)

Jack Whitehall presents the final in this series. He’ll be joined at the Palladium theatre by the likes of Simply Red, Jess Glynn, Leona Lewis, knife throwers, and Japanese dance squads. Offensively entertaining.

Everyone is talking about… Gilmore Girls

The cast reunited during last night’s ATX Television Festival and it was amazing.

However, it came with some bad news. Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has revealed that there is no plan to revive the series.

She said:

There’s nothing in the works at the moment. If it ever happened, I promise we’d do it correctly.

Not a COMPLETE take down, remain hopeful.

Channel 4′s Comedy Gala 2015 (Channel 4, 9pm) Think of a British comedian, they’re appearing at this comedy concert all in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
