Heath Ledger is seven years dead this week. This is one of his better known movies, a medieval adventure where he plays a low-born squire taking the place of his employer in a jousting competition for the nobility.

The Meaning of Life with Gay Byrne (RTE 1, 10.30pm)

Novelist Cecilia Ahern chats to Gay about growing up with Bertie, her her spirituality and opens up about her constant and crippling panic attacks.

Ed Sheeran on Top Gear (BBC 1, 8pm)

Watch Ed Sheeran aka Ireland’s saviour as he drives a car for the first time at eye-watering high speeds. Reports say he crashed, but he says he went ‘off road’. Tune in and see who’s right and who’s stretching the truth.

Everyone’s talking about… Never have I ever

Gwyneth Paltrow Johnny Depp, and Paul Bettany are doing everything they can to promote Mortdecai as a movie that you should even consider going to see. They appeared on Ellen’s couch to play Never Have I Ever and it was actually quite endearing.
