Here's what to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Comic Relief (BBC 1, 7pm)

It’s that time of the year again. Comedy meets charity in this marathon telly event. Expect a guest appearance from Stephen Hawking in a Little Britain sketch, and contributions from the likes of Mr Bean and the Vicar of Dibley. Settle down with some snacks (and tissues, things will get emotional), it’s set to go on until 2am.

The Late Late Show (RTÉ 1, 9.35pm)

Lucinda Creighton and Eddie Hobbs are on the sofa tonight, fresh from launching Renua Ireland. If that doesn’t appeal to you there’s always Heather Mills, and Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney will be on hand giving Mother’s Day makeovers. YIPEE.

Sex and the City 2 (TV 3, 9pm)

Listen, it’s so bad it’s almost good. The gals take a trip to Abu Dhabi to reclaim their single life away from their marriages and children, and it’s worth it alone for the reappearance of Aidan, and the Lawrence of my Labia pun. Kudos, Cattral. Call us when you’re in Dublin, k?

Everyone is talking about… Kathy Griffin’s Fashion Police exit

She’s only been hosting the show for two months, but comedian Kathy Griffin has already quit the show. Griffin took over after the passing of Joan Rivers, but it seems as though seven episodes is enough.

She cites the creative direction of the show as being a problem for her, saying she doesn’t want to use her comedy to ‘contribute to unattainable perfectionism’.

It comes just weeks after co-host Kelly Osbourne quit the show after Guilian Rancic’s controversial comments about an actress’ dreadlocks.

Or flick over for…

Gogglebox (Channel 4, 9pm) What comedic quips will the couch potatoes give us this week?

Kick-Ass (Channel 4, 10pm) A teen comic book fan decides to become a superhero. Excellent movie, should rightfully be in Sex and the City 2′s slot, but y’know.

Unforgiven (TG 4, 9.35pm) Two notorious gunslingers come out of retirement to help a young assassin. Starring the Holy Trinity of Gene Hackman, Cint Eastwood, and Morgan Freeman.

Life (TV 3, 8pm) Sybil Mulchah visits Enniskerry to explore the area with the ‘best gardens in the world’.
