What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

High Hopes Choir (RTÉ 1, 10.15pm)

Orchestra conductor David Brophy sets out to form Ireland’s first homeless choir. In the first of the series, he attempts to recruit members through charities and on the streets in the build up to a big Late Late performance. The documentary also briefly features Jonathan Corrie, who was sadly found dead on Molesworth street on Monday morning.

Maia Dunphy: What Women Want (RTÉ 2, 10pm)

Dunphy continues with her series focused on issues effecting the lives of the modern Irish woman. Tonight’s episode deals with fame and how it influences young women, and how fame without merit seems to be a desirable career for some. Cough, ‘why are the Kardashians so popular?’

For the day that’s in it… Bond, James Bond (UTV, 12.05am)

So you’re probably all excited after the Bond announcement today. Spectre will be released in cinemas next November, but whet your appetite by staying up a bit late to watch Die Another Day. Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry star in this instalment. Ah, Pierce.

Everybody’s talking about: Black Mirror White Christmas

Yep, Black Mirror is coming back and it’s got a brand new trailer. The sometimes creepy yet often brilliant Channel 4 series will be getting a festive special this year.

The new trailer features Jon Hamm, and the 90 minute feature will also star Oonagh Chaplin and Rafe Spall. It will be made up of three separate stories, which will keep in the show’s theme of technology and where it’s headed.

White Christmas will air on December 16 on Channel 4.

Or flick over for…

About Last Night (RTÉ 1, 1am) OK so technically it’s on tomorrow, but for those night owls… catch Rob Lowe and Demi Moore in this sweet comedy.

Your Bad Self (RTÉ 2, 11pm) The surreal dark Irish comedy continues.

The Knick (Sky Atlantic, 9pm) The medical period drama starring Bono’s daughter and Clive Owen. Thackery hits rock bottom when his cocaine runs out, it’s looking bad.
