Cucumber (Channel 4, 9pm)

Cucumber is part of a trifecta of new series from Queer As Folk creator Russell T. Davies exploring gay life in Britain. (Banana airs on E4 at 10pm, while Tofu can be found on 4OD.) Cucumber follows a settled couple in their forties, whose lives are irrevocably changed after a rather disastrous date night. Guaranteed to generate much chat. #Cucumber

Danger – Amanda At Work! (TV3, 9pm) 

Last week, Amanda Brunker found herself in a deep sea trawler, learned all about fishing quotas and developed a hatred of dogfish. This week, Brunker tries her hand at construction and finds herself on a building site. That ought to go well.

Josie: The Most Hated Woman in Britain (Channel 4, 10pm) 

Josie Cunningham was propelled into the public eye after she was found to have availed of breast enlargements from the NHS. She was subsequently voted the Most Hated Woman in Britain by The Sun and now has over 80,000 Twitter followers. This documentary introduces the woman behind the headlines.

Everyone’s talking about… Better Call Saul

The first reviews for the Breaking Bad spin-off are in and…

Business Insider wrote that is “everything you could possibly want from a spin-off of the hit series”, while The Hollywood Reporter stated that “going along for the ride, no matter how it unspools, seems absolutely essential”.

Other critics had mixed feelings with Variety writing that the “jury’s still out”.

Still, though: squee!

Better Call Saul is slated to debut on US TV on February 8th.
