Wolves consider Roy Keane as search for Mick McCarthy successor goes on

McCarthy was sacked by owner Steve Morgan last week with the midlands club facing a relegation fight in the last few months of the Premier League season.

IS ROY KEANE the right man to sit into Mick McCarthy’s still-warm seat at Molineux?

The Corkman is reported to be in the running for the Wolverhampton Wanderers manager’s job, according to the Daily Mail today.

McCarthy was sacked by owner Steve Morgan last week with the midlands club facing a relegation fight in the last few months of the Premier League season.

Keane’s former Old Trafford team-mate Steve Bruce is said to have rejected a short-term deal at Wolves while Alan Curbishley revealed this weekend that he had already turned down the position.

The former Ireland skipper is currently working as a pundit for ITV but may be tempted back to the sidelines by the offer of a top-flight challenge.

Would it be a good move for Wolves and Keane?
