Woman in critical condition after escape from house fire

The PSNI has issued an appeal for information.

A WOMAN IS in a critical condition in hospital following a house fire in Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

She managed to escape from the blaze using an upstairs window of the house.

The woman, aged in her 50s, was rushed to hospital with serious burns and other injuries, where she remains in a critical condition.

A man, who was in the property and also in his 50s, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident took place shortly after midnight last night at Mayollan Terrace, Coalisland. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and the fire was extinguished.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, and anyone with information relating to the incident to asked to contact the PSNI at Dungannon.
