BETWEEN OCTOBER 2014 and September 2015, Premier League teams spent £130m on agents’ fees.
Unsurprisingly after bringing in so many new players during the summer transfer window, Liverpool forked out the most: £14.3m. Manchester United weren’t too far behind while Manchester City were the third-highest spenders with an additional outlay of £12.4m.
Chelsea and Arsenal round out the top five.
Surprisingly, Tottenham – who finished fifth last term and who are currently on an incredibly impressive unbeaten run in the Premier League – spent considerably less on fees than their rivals.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side paid out £5.9m, just slightly more than Newcastle.
