THREE CLUBS ARE interested in taking Ireland international Aiden McGeady on loan from Everton for the rest of the season.
Manager Roberto Martinez revealed today that there have been enquiries for the 29 year-old.
Martinez is prepared to let McGeady and fellow Irish international Darron Gibson leave Everton in this month’s transfer window but only on short-term loan deals.
The Everton boss recognises McGeady’s need for a potential move in advance of Euro 2016.
“We are going to work with Aiden and his representative and make the right call,” Martinez told Everton’s official club website.
“There have been three enquiries and over the next couple of weeks we will make the final decision.
“It’s going to be a short-term deal so Aiden can play football, finish the season really strong, then he has got the possible involvement with the Republic of Ireland and that will be part of the decision we will make.
“There is a combination, there is an opportunity to go abroad and the other two [interested parties] are domestic.
“It would be just a loan until the end of the season and then both players would return and compete strongly in pre-season.”
