Reid aiming for Premier League return with Forest after signing new deal
The experienced midfielder is delighted about agreeing a two-year extension at the City Ground.

WITH HIS CLUB future finally sorted, Ireland international Andy Reid is fully focused on getting Nottingham Forest back into the Premier League.

The midfielder has been one of Forest’s star performers this season, scoring eight goals so far, and again played a central role in their 5-0 FA Cup third round win over West Ham on Sunday.

Despite being an integral part of Billy Davies’ side, however, there were questions over his future with his contract due to expire this summer.

But with news of a new two-year deal announced over the weekend, the 31-year-old can concentrate on earning promotion with the club where he started his professional career.

Forest currently sit fifth in one of the play-off spots — seven points off the automatic places.

“I’m absolutely delighted,” Reid told the club. “It’s really important to feel settle and to feel wanted and to have the faith shown in me.

My performances probably warrant it as I’ve been doing quite well so it’s good to get rewarded for them things.
