5 foods served on baseball's opening day we need in our bellies right now

What’s better than a burger or a pizza? A burgerizza.

THERE ARE MANY things that US stadia do better than Irish ones but close to the top of the list is undoubtedly food.

While we’re sure there are plenty that just serve up something that once looked at a cow and call it a burger, there are many who go to unbelievable lengths to give their patrons a taste sensation.

While some, indeed, all of these are probably not great for anybody watching their waistline; as far as once in a lifetime culinary adventures go… we say why not?

5. Houston Astros – Sweet Potato Waffle Chicken Sandwich

There’s an awful lot going on with this ‘sandwich’ but it’s the closet thing to a healthy option we could find.

If you’ve never had a sweet potato waffle, review your life choices.

4. Texas Rangers – The Wicked Pig

Do you want some more pig parts? THERE ARE NO MORE PIG PARTS.

Everything is, indeed, bigger in Texas.

3. New York Yankees – Bacon on a Stick

We’re all for plates here at The42 but if you’re going to a baseball game you may as well come home with a baseball bat.

And is there a better baseball bat than one that comes with delicious bacon on top?

There is not.

2. St. Louis Cardinals – Dinger’s Doughnuts

The might not know how to spell doughnuts but they sure know how to make them Stateside.

Again, we could take or leave how they’re served but if you have a sweet tooth, it’s very like to fall out after eating this lot.

1. Atlanta Braves – The Burgerizza

One and a quarter pounds of beef with five slices of cheddar cheese and bacon topped and bottomed with two eight inch pepperoni pizzas.

Take me out to the ball game. Roll me back.
