Boston remembers marathon victims with this hair-raising national anthem

Emotions ran high ahead of last night’s NHL match between the Bruins and the Sabres.

SPORT RETURNED TO TD Gardens on Wednesday night, two days after the Boston Marathon bombings which killed three and left at least 170 more injured.

Emotions ran high as a moving tribute to the victims of Monday’s attacks was shown on the big screens ahead of the Boston Bruins’ NHL match against the Buffalo Sabres.

That was followed by a hair-raising rendition of the US national anthem, started by singer Rene Rancourt but taken up almost immediately by what sounded like every single one of the 17,565 fans in attendance.

It would give you chills.
