Irish striker Sheridan continues fine goalscoring form for Polish table-toppers

JUST THIS WEEK, we spoke to Cillian Sheridan about how quickly he has settled into life at Polish title contenders Jagiellonia Bialystok.

Well the 28-year-old Irish striker was back among the goals yesterday as thy earned a 2-0 win at home to Wisla Krakow.

With 27 minutes on the clock, Sheridan latched onto Fedor Cernych’s cut-back from the end line to find the far corner fir a first time finish. That was his sixth goal in 10 matches since arriving from Omonia Nicosia.

The Cavan man was involved in the build-up to their second goal in injury-time as Dmytro Khomchenovsky sealed the victory, which puts them one point ahead of Legia Warsaw with four games remaining.
