Amhrán na bhFiann underway here now. We’re all set.

This could be a cracker, folks.

They’re so keen to get stuck into each other, we’ve actually thrown in a minute early here in Ennis!

Gotta love it.

4′ – CLA 0-0 CORK 0-1: No scores in the opening three minutes, just absolutely ferocious collisions. Brilliant stuff.

Patrick Horgan eventually opens the scoring with a gimme free after Brian Hayes is hauled down deep in Clare territory.

The Rebels lead by one in Ennis.

4′ – CLA 0-1 CORK 0-2: Darragh Fitzgibbon and Aidan McCarthy exchange scores, the former from play and the latter from a free to get Clare on the board.

6′ – CLARE 0-2 CORK 0-3:Aidan McCarthy replies again with a free after an Alan Connolly score from play.

Serious tempo to this already.

Cork on top but Clare giving almost as good as they’re getting.

10′ – CLARE 0-3 CORK 0-4:Super score down the right by Darragh Fitz after a bad wide from a free by Patrick Horgan.

Tony Kelly responds from play.

11′ – CLARE 0-3 CORK 0-5: Séamie Harnedy pops one over straight from Patrick Collins’ puck-out.

GOAL FOR CORK! Clare 0-4 Cork 1-5

13′ – GOALLLLL FOR THE REBELS! Ah, it’s wizardry from Brian Hayes, who gets it.

He finds an inch from the right-hand side, traipsing down the end-line and firing an overhand finish into the Clare net.

That was all Hayes. Super goal.

Aidan McCarthy bags a Clare free afterwards.

16′ – CLARE 0-4 CORK 1-5: Cian Galvin on for the injured Diarmuid Ryan. Blow for Clare.

17′ – CLARE 0-4 CORK 1-6: Hoggie free. Cork lead by five.

20′ – CLARE 0-5 CORK 1-7:Aidan Mac and Hoggie trade frees.

Brilliant save earlier by Eibhear Quilligan to deny Alan Connolly, who pounced on some loose Clare possession in their own territory and tried a bounce-shot past the keeper.

Quilligan bats it away, however, and Clare fans exhale.

25′ – CLARE 0-5 CORK 1-8: Blarney man Shane Barrett whistles one past the post after a gorgeous team move. Point was on but Cork went for goal and came up short on this occasion.

Brian Hayes adds a point soon afterwards to take the sting off.

Clare have only one point from play after 24 minutes. Rebels on top in all aspects so far.

Goal for Cork! Clare 0-5 Cork 2-9

26′ – GOAALLLLLL FOR THE REBELS! BRIAN HAYES AGAIN!

Super run by Alan Connolly who pops the pass right as he’s hauled to the ground. Hayes finishes easily past Qulligan.

Darragh Fitz adds a score from the puck-out.

Cork lead by 10 in Ennis.

30′ – CLARE 0-5 CORK 2-11: Hoggie from a free and Barrett from play, the latter an exquisite team score.

And my word, just as I type that, Patrick Collins makes a superb save from Peter Duggan up the other end! Outstanding stop by the Rebels ‘keeper.

34′ – CLARE 0-7 CORK 2-13: Another Aidan Mac free for Clare, and then Alan Connolly produces one of the best points you’ll ever see from the right-hand touchline. Insane point.

Tony Kelly bags one from play — Clare’s second score from play — but Shane Barrett responds almost immediately.

35′ – CLARE 0-9 CORK 2-14: David Fitz scores from play. I actually didn’t get a look at the score — apologies! I was typing the last update and there’s no time to rewind when you’re liveblogging a hurling match, ha!

Hoggie bags a free. Aidan McCarthy notches from play. Two minutes of injury time added on at the end of the first half.

Half-time: Clare 0-9 Cork 2-15

37′ – CLARE 0-9 CORK 2-15: Tim O’Mahony from range. Super score.

Aidan Mac misses a free from halfway, then.

Cork lead by nine at half-time. The Rebels have been absolutely outstanding.

Clare are bound to improve in the second half but it’s going to be an uphill battle.

Second half

36′ – CLARE 0-9 CORK 2-15: Back underway in Ennis. Clare have the breeze in this second half. Can they get back into this?

GOAL FOR CLARE! Clare 1-9 Cork 2-15

37′ – GOAAALLLLLLLL FOR CLARE! SUPERB! It’s Aidan McCarthy who gets the final touch — and it is just a touch as he guides it past Patrick Collins after a wonderful run and pass by Mark Rodgers.

39′ – CLARE 1-10 CORK 2-15: Tony Kelly with another one for Clare from range. They’ve eaten into Cork’s lead to the tune of four points at the start of this second half. They have the wind and they have a bit of momentum here.

We might have a game on at Cusack Park…

GOAL FOR CLARE! Clare 2-10 Cork 2-15

41′ – GOAAALLLLLLLL FOR THE BANNER AGAIN! DAVID REIDY!

Route one! Reidy with the finish! The All-Ireland champions are back in this one in a major way!

44′ – CLARE 2-10 CORK 2-15: Long, long stoppage for handbags. A couple of yellows for either side. Might suit Cork — slows Clare’s momentum for a sec.

46′ – CLARE 2-10 CORK 2-16: Hoggie wins a free and knocks it over from close range.

That’s Cork’s first score of the second half, 10 minutes into it!

Some swing so far since the break.

48′ – CLARE 2-10 CORK 2-18: Oh my goodness, what a score by Alan Connolly.

He’s under pressure with his back to goal but he improvises, flicking the sliotar one-handed over his own shoulder and over the bar! Sensational score.

Hoggie then bags his seventh of the game, a point from play from the right-hand side.

The Rebels are purring once more…

50′ – CLARE 2-11 CORK 2-18: Aidan McCarthy responds with a free for The Banner.

52′ – CLARE 2-12 CORK 2-19: Hoggie again wins and converts a free.

Peter Duggan replies for Clare with a brilliant one-handed score. Not quite as artistic as Alan Connolly’s but seriously impressive nonetheless!

CLARE 2-12 CORK 2-20: Hoggie from halfway, from play. Super work by Shane Barrett and he flicks a pass out of pressure to Horgan, who sweeps it over the bar from range.

56′ – CLARE 2-12 CORK 2-21: Exceptional team score by Cork, eventually converted by Brian Roche.

Incredible, end-to-end score.

Red card: Shane Barrett (Cork)

57′ – RED CARD: Shane Barrett is sent off for his role in an off-the-ball incident. Looked like he took a swipe towards the head of David Reidy alright. A little jab with the base of the hurley through the faceguard.

Cork down to 14.

They lead by nine with about 12 minutes remaining.

63′ – CLARE 2-13 CORK 2-22: Mark Rogders and Brian Hayes exchange scores.

64′ – CLARE 2-15 CORK 2-22: Ian Galvin bags on from play for Clare, and then so does Cathal Malone.

Two in a row for Clare. Cork down to 14. And there’s still loads of time in this.

66′ – CLARE 2-15 CORK 2-23: Tim O’Mahony from a different postcode for Cork. Super score.

67′ – CLARE 2-16 CORK 2-23: Mark Rodgers gets one back for Clare from a free.

Cork lead by seven. There’ll be loads of added time, you’d have to imagine.

Goal for Clare! Clare 3-16 Cork 2-23

69′ – GOAALLLLLL FOR THE BANNER! PETER DUGGAN! GAME ON!

What a finish by the big man! The All-Ireland champions are back in this one!

70′ – CLARE 3-17 CORK 2-23: Tony Kelly with a free from miles out!

Three points between them!

Added time: 6 minutes

This could be some finish, folks…

72′ – CLARE 3-18 CORK 2-23: David Reidy with the free. Clare are back to within two points!

74′ – CLARE 3-19 CORK 2-23: IAN GALVIN BRINGS CLARE BACK TO WITHIN A SINGLE POINT!

STRAP IN, FOLKS!

74′ – CLARE 3-20 CORK 2-23: TONY KELLY LEVELS IT FROM RANGE! WHAT A COMEBACK BY CLARE!

76′ – CLARE 3-21 CORK 2-23: CLARE LEAD! DAVID REIDY WITH THE FREE FROM IN FRONT OF THE POSTS!

INSANE COMEBACK BY THE BANNER! THEY LEAD BY ONE WITH SECONDS LEFT!

78′ – CLARE 3-21 CORK 2-24: CORK LEVEL IT AT THE DEATH! DECLAN DALTON WITH THE FREE! OH MY GOD!

Full-time: Clare 3-21 Cork 2-24

Holy Moses…
