RNLI rescues three people after 50-foot yacht loses power off west Cork coast

Weather conditions at the time were windy at the popular kite surfing spot.
The boat had issued a mayday call.
The yacht was one of many participating in the Fastnet Race in rough seas off west Cork this morning.
“The rescue was carried out with great skill and precision on a dangerous coastline in today’s winds,” the RNLI said.
Another rescue involved a dog that fell of a cliff.
The two men were resuced after their boat collapsed near a pier in Courtmacsherry.
All of the 30 crew members have been rescued, but much of the ship is underwater.
