LIVERPOOL MANAGER KENNY Dalglish claims Luis Suarez will shake Patrice Evra’s hand, when his side meet Man United this weekend.

Dalglish threatened to reopen the racism debate last week, after suggesting that Suarez “should never have been out in the first place,” however he is now keen to play down the pre-match tension between the two sides.

Speaking to reporters, he said:

“People are already speculating on the pre-match ceremony. But from Luis’s point of view, we have spoken to him and I know he will shake the hand of Patrice Evra and the other Manchester United players before the game.”

However, despite Dalglish’s attempts to play the role of peacemaker, there was further controversy during the week, after Wayne Rooney claimed on Twitter that Suarez deserved a red card for a challenge in the club’s most recent match against Tottenham.

And Rooney’s words drew an angry response from ex-Liverpool great John Aldridge, who wrote in his column for the Liverpool Echo:

“I couldn’t believe it when I heard that Wayne Rooney had tweeted that Suárez should have been sent off. Rooney needs to focus on sorting out his own club before he worries about anyone else.”

The game between the two sides kicks off at 12.45pm tomorrow.
