KERRY MINOR STAR David Clifford has brushed off any link with a move to Australia as mere speculation.

Clifford captained the Kingdom minors to All-Ireland success on Sunday, scoring 4 – 4 in the final bringing him to 10 – 68 over his 12 matches in two years at minor level.

Those stand-out figures have inevitably caught the attention of the Australian Football League’s scouts, but Clifford insists there has been no approach and that his attention is on his club Championship commitments with Fossa and East Kerry as well as getting a third level education.

“To be honest I haven’t given it any thought whatsoever,” Clifford said in the above interview with Radio Kerry.

“I haven’t heard anything about it, so as far as I’m concerned it’s all rumours. I’m just going to enjoy the rest of the football I have for the rest of the year.”
