Derry City skipper Ryan McBride dies suddenly aged 27

The cause of death is unknown as of yet.

DERRY CITY DEFENDER Ryan McBride has died at the age of 27.

The cause of death is unknown as of yet, though he is understood to have been found dead this evening after feeling unwell following his side’s game with Drogheda yesterday.

McBride was captain of a Derry side who have gone four games unbeaten since the start of the season.

The Candystripes were due to play Limerick tomorrow, though it is expected to be called off.
