Delicious Di Maria curler and De Gea penalty save give United edge over Everton

Leighton Baines missed his first penalty in the Premier League.

THIS LOVELY CURLING finish from Angel Di Maria has given Manchester United a 26th minute lead over Everton at Old Trafford.

The Argentine pounced on the ball played his way by Juan Mata and guided it into the corner with his weaker right foot.

Here’s the angle from the left-wing side.

Luke Shaw’s sliding tackle  before half-time gave Leighton Baines an opportunity to level the game from the spot, but the dead-ball specialist had his effort saved by David De Gea – the first penalty he has ever missed in the Premier League.

Steven Naismith did bring the Toffees level after the break…

but Falcao opened his Manchester United account to restore the home side’s lead.
