RTÉ HAVE CONFIRMED that the All-Ireland senior football final replay will be broadcast on The Saturday Game Live on 1 October.

The clash of Dublin and Mayo will be live on RTÉ Two with coverage beginning at 4pm followed by a throw-in time of 5pm.

Presenter Michael Lyster will be joined by the station’s established Gaelic football pundit trio of Colm O’Rourke, Joe Brolly and Pat Spillane.

Ger Canning will be on commentary duty and he will be joined by co-commentator Martin Carney.

There will be a special highlights show that night, The Saturday Game, on RTÉ 2 commencing at 10pm.

Des Cahill will be hosting along with Ciaran Whelan, Dessie Dolan and Tomás Ó Sé as panellists. As is traditional for the last highlights programme of the season, they will be joined later by O’Rourke, Brolly and Spillane with the announcement of the ‘Team of the Year’ and the ‘man-of-the-match’ award. Michael Lyster will be reporting live from the winners’ hotel.

It marks the first time that an All-Ireland senior football final replay has been held since 2000 when Kerry and Galway finished all square.

Recent All-Ireland hurling final replays in 2013 and 2014 have seen RTÉ broadcast live and highlight shows on a Saturday.

There will also be live coverage on Sky Sports of the game while the national radio commentary will be provided by RTÉ Radio 1.
