The brainchild of Bill Simmons and Connor Schell, the original idea was to commission 30 one-hour films telling incredible sports stories to mark the network’s 30th year in existence.

However, due to its popularity, the 30 for 30 brand has spawned over 100 pieces of work varying in length and subject matter.

Today, the franchise launches a podcast spin-off. Episode one, entitled The Trials of Dan and Dave, looks at two decathletes who became household names in America due to a Reebok advertising campaign ahead of the 1992 Summer Olympics.
