Superb Radamel Falcao shows that rumours of Monaco's demise have been greatly exaggerated

Kylian Mbappe remained on the bench throughout the clash with Dijon and the youngster wasn’t missed.

MUCH HAS BEEN made of how many players Monaco have lost in the summer transfer window and how it’s left their squad decimated.

There’s also the continued speculation linking their crucial ingredient – Kylian Mbappe – with a move to Paris, Madrid or Barcelona.

But, they still racked up their second straight league victory thanks to a superb hat-trick from Radamel Falcao.

Mbappe remained on the bench having picked up an injury last weekend against Toulouse but it mattered little as his partner in attack conjured an irresistible display against Dijon.

Monaco were already 2-0 up thanks to Falcao’s opener and a second goal of the campaign for Jemerson but the standout moment came on 37 minutes when the Colombian curled home magnificently to the far corner.

The home side did pull one back before Falcao grabbed his third of the game shortly after the restart to ensure the 4-1 victory.
