Fellaini free to play FA Cup final as Belgian gets three-match ban for Huth elbow

The Leicester defender’s season has come to a premature end however, with just two games left in the Foxes’ campaign.

MANCHESTER UNITED MIDFIELDER Marouane Fellaini and Leicester City defender Robert Huth will each serve three-match bans following their clash in last Sunday’s Premier League match at Old Trafford.

Fellaini struck Huth with his elbow after the German defender had pulled the Belgian’s hair in the 21st minute of the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last Sunday. The English FA later charged both players with violent conduct for their roles in the altercation.

Huth will miss the champions’ two remaining Premier League fixtures this season (against Everton (h) and Chelsea (a)) and their first fixture of the 2016/17 campaign.

The towering Belgian will be unavailable for United’s three remaining league games (Norwich (a), West Ham (a) and Bournemouth (h)) but will be free to play in the Red Devils’s FA Cup final clash against Crystal Palace on 21 May.
