Poor old Fred hit the bar from a foot out against Santos

Oh, Fred.

NOBODY’S FAVOURITE BRAZILIAN striker had a mixed night in last night’s win over Santos.

Yes, there was this howler that somehow managed to miss an eight-foot tall open goal from a foot out.

However, Fred also managed to power in a near post header to give Fluimense the lead just before half-time.

With Santos battling relegation and Fluminense chasing the title, things got a little crazy in the first half. None more crazy than Thiago Maia managing to hack down Marcos Junior twice in the space of two seconds – he was probably getting a yellow for the first one anyway, so the second was a free shot.
