Ex-Liverpool defender sent off for two-footed lunge in Milan defeat

Argentine-born Italian defender Gabriel Paletta deservedly received his marching order in the Rossoneri’s loss at Genoa.

AFTER THEIR CONFIDENCE-boosting victory over champions Juventus over the weekend, AC Milan were brought back down to earth by a 3-0 defeat to Genoa last night.

Vincenzo Montella’s side were not helped by a sending off for defender Gabriel Paletta on 56 minutes but the red card was thoroughly-deserved.

Paletta, who spent a year at Liverpool a decade ago, chopped down Genoa’s Luca Rigoni with a pretty awful two-footed challenge.
