Brian Cody to stay on as Kilkenny manager for an incredible 13th year.

IT’S BAD NEWS for the rest of us as Kilkenny last night re-appointed Brian Cody as manager of the county hurlers for an incredible 13th year.

The school teacher has led the Cats to seven All-Ireland title, though this year he was denied a historic fifth on the trot as Tipperary saw them off in a thrilling finale.

Cody’s selectors Martin Fogarty and Michael Dempsey were also returned while Michael Walsh will continue as the county’s U-21 hurling manager with David Buggy acting as a selector. A third selector may be added later.
