IF YOU BELIEVE that there’s a better boxer out there right now than the awesome Gennady Golovkin, we’ll let you take it up with him.

GGG scored his 20th consecutive knockout with a sixth-round stoppage of Wille Monroe Jr in Los Angeles.

The devastating Kazakh wrapped up his night’s work 45 seconds into the sixth, knocking down Monroe for a third time to defend his middleweight titles.

Golovkin, whose record now stands at an unbeaten 33-0 with 30 KOs, immediately set his sights on Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Miguel Cotto.

The 33-year-old is currently seventh in Ring Magazine’s Pound for Pound ratings but on current form, he deserves to be much higher.

Four of those above him — Floyd Mayweather, Wladimir Klitschko, Manny Pacquiao and Carl Froch — are past their prime in the ring while Guillermo Rigondeaux (ranked fourth) struggles to find the calibre of opponent that will allow him to reiterate his class.

If Golovkin beats Canelo or Cotto before the end of the year, expect him to become an even bigger draw.
