FIXTURES ACROSS THE Premier League and elsewhere paid tribute to Graham Taylor today, following his sudden passing on Thursday.
Several matches saw minutes’ applause before kick-off, while players donned black armbands to signify mourning.
Renowned as Watford’s greatest manager, there were several displays and gestures at Vicarage Road in his memory ahead of, and during their fixture with Middlesborough.
Chants of ‘there’s only one Graham Taylor’ rang out around the stadium during a minute’s applause in his memory.
Taylor’s wife, Rita, and daughters were in attendance.
Taylor also had a succesful stint at Aston Villa, and the club paid tribute accordingly ahead of their Championship clash against Wolves.
Elsewhere, there were minutes silences observed before kick-off and other gestures throughout the games.
