IRELAND HAVE JUMPED 12 places in the latest Fifa world rankings following last month’s German giantkilling.

Martin O’Neill’s side are now ranked 42nd, their highest position since April 2013.

As expected, Belgium are now officially the world’s best side after they moved up two places to the top of the rankings for the very first time.

World champions Germany remain in second while Argentina have dropped to third.

Portugal, Chile, Spain, Colombia, Brazil, England and Austria complete the top 10.

Bosnia-Herzegovina have improved by 10 places to 20th ahead of their Euro 2016 play-off showdown against the Boys in Green later this month.
