JUVENTUS CLAIMED THEIR first trophy of the season this afternoon with a 2-0 victory over Lazio in Shanghai.

With Carlos Tevez, Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo all leaving the Turin giants in recent weeks, manager Max Allegri brought Stefano Sturaro into the midfield, while new arrival Mario Mandzukic started up front alongside French teenager Kingsley Coman.

Mandzukic, who joined from Atletico Madrid for €19 million, opened the scoring on 68 minutes with a powerful header before another summer signing, Paulo Dybala, doubled their lead.

Big things are expected from the Argentine forward after his €32m move from Palermo and the 21-year-old showed a glimpse of his ability 12 minutes after coming on as a second half substitute.

Latching onto a lay-off by Paul Pogba, who has been handed the number 10 shirt this season, Dybala smashed the ball into the roof of the net from 12 yards.
