Good afternoon, and welcome along to our liveblog for the first of this year’s All-Ireland senior hurling quarter-finals.

There’s a serious game of hurling in store at Croke Park, where Kilkenny and Cork will square off at 2pm.

Stick with us here and we’ll keep you up to date on all the key moments that occur during the meeting of two of the game’s oldest — and fiercest — rivals.

Seamus Harnedy was fouled by Paul Murphy, and Horgan converted the penalty emphatically.

John Donnelly gets a fine score to open Kilkenny’s account.

Eoin Murphy then produces a superb save to deny Alan Cadogan’s attempt for Cork’s second goal, before Richie Hogan hits a brilliant point for Kilkenny.

What a start!

With a free from halfway, near the left touchline, TJ Reid makes no mistake.

Adrian Mullen sends a good ball into Colin Fennelly, who gets by Eoin Cadogan before batting the ball to the back of Anthony Nash’s net.

TJ Reid then extends the Kilkenny lead with a free.

Conor Fogarty’s long-range strike puts Kilkenny three ahead again.

Conor Lehane attempts an immediate Cork response but hits his shot wide.

Leahy misses the target with a point effort for Kilkenny, before Harnedy scores for Cork.

Brilliant run forward by Fitzgibbon for Cork but his shot on the run went wide after he was hooked.

Horgan gets Cork’s third point in the space of a minute and a half, followed by Browne’s first point for Kilkenny.

Alan Cadogan then pushes Cork back in front.

A TJ Reid free from wide on the right brings the teams level again.

Horgan does well to find space but his shot is off target. Seven wides already for Cork.

Huw Lawlor fouls Alan Cadogan and Horgan converts the resultant free.

Ellis dispossessed by Donnelly, who puts Kilkenny back on level terms.

Fennelly breaks the ball brilliantly for Hogan and Kilkenny regain the lead.

Kearney finds Fitzgibbon, who advances before playing in Horgan. Despite being on his knees, the Glen Rovers man beats Murphy with a rocket of a strike.

Reid responds with a Kilkenny free.

From about 70 yards out, Fogarty levels the score with his second point.

Alan Cadogan shortens his grip and slots over his second score of the game after being teed up by Horgan.

With a free from just inside his own half, Horgan puts Cork two points clear as the first half enters additional time, of which there’ll be one minute.

The Cats have outscored the Rebels by 1-6 to 0-1 so far in this second half.

A third goal of the game for Horgan! He plucks Robbie O’Flynn’s delivery out of the air and, despite being outnumbered three to one, finds space before beating Murphy.

Alan Cadogan then scores his fourth point and now there’s only two between the teams.
